Rescuers save 500 puppies from unsafe puppy mills. Then every single puppy gets adopted

Unfortunately, not all dogs are treated equal, but thanks to this special group of people, hundreds of puppies received a second chance.
Victoria Stilwell, pet behavior expert and host of the television show, ‘It’s Me Or The Dog,’ documents the rescue of over 500 puppies and dogs from an inhumane puppy mill.
Sadly, an overwhelming number of undocumented pups come from puppy mills, as many of the mills are operating without oversight. The vulnerable dogs live in harsh conditions, as puppy mills are overcrowded, unsafe, and unsanitary.
Puppy mills focus solely on profit, rather than the well-being of the animal, causing many of the dogs to be inbred which, in turn, make them more prone to health and genetic conditions. Additionally, many of these pups are ripped away from their mothers and fellow siblings at birth and tend to develop behavioral anxiety and fearfulness.
Victoria, along with the help of the Cherokee County Animal Shelter and Marshal’s Office, took on a puppy mill in order to rescue over 500 dogs. From recent newborns to slightly older dogs, each canine was removed from their cruel habitations and brought back, safely, to the animal shelter.
Six months after their relocation to the shelter, the pups were ready to be adopted by loving, caring families. Potential owners were eager to pick up their newest, hairiest member of the family as they lined up for miles, with some so excited, they ended up camping out the night before.
With this turnout, hundreds of people came to pick up their furry friend, and each and ev ery pup that was rescued from the puppy mill was adopted. Greeting their new caretakers with kisses and cuddles, you could see it was a perfect match.
One year later, at the adoption reunion party, you could see the smiles on the dogs’ faces, as they’ve happily settled into their new homes with their new caretakers.
Through the collective efforts of Victoria Stilwell and the team, the inspirational group was able to rescue over 500 innocent puppies and provide them with happy, healthy, and loving homes for years to come.
